Great Falls National Park

I apologize for the LONG hiatus of blog updates... it seems as though I stay busy even though I'm unemployed!  Today, Matt and I ventured out to Great Falls National Park, which is not too far from where we live.  We have been wanting to go for a while now, but this is the first weekend in a while that it's been REALLY nice (no snow or rain, and lots of sunshine!)!  The weather was absolutely beautiful!  It was about 75 degrees, and we both wore shorts... Matt even wore his sandals!  The "Great Falls" is where the Potomac River speeds up and over jagged rocks and flows through a narrow gorge.  We've never seen a river look quite like this before!

We had an excellent time!  It was great to get out and explore a new place, especially one so naturally beautiful, and get some vitamin D together.
