Andrew's Two Month Update

Andrew is officially TWO MONTHS old!  

So hard to believe our little baby is growing up so fast already.

Two Months Old!

We took him today for his two month appointment and he got a great report!  He now weighs 11lbs 10 oz (he was 8lbs 6oz at birth) and is almost 23 inches long!  Both measurements are in the 70th percentile range for his age and the pediatrician is very pleased with his growth.  :)  He also received his first round of vaccinations.  He got three shots and the other vaccine was administered orally.  He was a champ with the oral stuff; in fact, the nurse said that he doesn't see many babies take it as well as Andrew did.  That's our boy!  It was so hard to watch my baby get his shots!  He cried, but he did a GREAT job.  As soon as they were over he was done crying, and fell asleep when we put him in his car seat and slept for hours.  He's awake now and seems happy and not bothered by the shots.  The only point of concern, which isn't even a big concern at this point, is Torticollis.  Basically it is a condition where his neck muscle on one side is tight and/or short and he 'favors' that side.  He will constantly have his head tilted to that side because of the tightness and/or shortness of the muscle.  It is most likely due to his positioning in the womb.  Our pediatrician wasn't too concerned, but she gave us some stretches to do with him, and also referred us to a physical therapist to check things out and make sure everything is okay.  She gave us no reason to worry about it, so we'll just roll with it!  Otherwise, things are great!  All three of us (and Pooh, too!) are doing good and looking forward to warmer (but not TOO much warmer) Spring weather.  We can't wait to do more outdoor activities with Andrew.  :)  Here's a cute video of Andrew smiling and cooing for you to enjoy:
