Springing Forward

I've had a great internal debate prior to updating this blog as to whether or not to backtrack 7 months and pick up where I left off, or just fast forward to now.  I cannot believe I have not done an update since September!!  Shame on me!  For my sanity and all of my readers' time, I'm going to skip ahead to recent times for the most part.  I will say that we had a wonderful holiday season.  Here's the "Reader's Digest" version:

Started out with a fun Halloween! (although Andrew spent an hour or so in the ER with a 104 degree fever due to an oncoming ear infection).  Andrew went as a CAT Bulldozer, since he LOVES construction equipment.  I am proud to say I made the costume myself!

Then we had a nice Thanksgiving, just the 3 of us!

Next, my parents came for Christmas and Andrew's 3rd Birthday.  Those two weeks go by more quickly than the other 50 weeks of the year!  So much to do and celebrate in so little time!  But of course, we had a wonderful time!

So that was the rest of our 2014 in a nutshell!  2015 has been good to us so far, and Matt and I can't believe it's already April!  Andrew is such a little guy with a blossoming personality.  Right now, he's really into asserting his independence and doing everything by himself.  He's still our sweet little boy most of the time, and loves to laugh and be in on jokes.  Much to my satisfaction, he loves country music and loves to dance when he hears his favorite songs.  (He can even identify which songs are sung by Luke Bryan - yep, he's definitely my child!)  His favorite song songs are 1994 by Jason Aldean, Boys Round Here by Blake Shelton, and Louisiana Saturday Night by Mel McDaniels.  He is 3ft 3in tall and loves to run around and play outside with his friends, especially now that the weather is getting warmer.  He's gotten really good at riding his tricycle and he and Daddy enjoy playing catch together.  Here are some fun pictures from the recent months.

Happily sledding in our backyard.

Andrew was a little skeptical of the Easter Bunny, but not terrified!

On Easter, happy to have a basket full of eggs!

Such a handsome little helper!
