We've known for a while now that we would be moved sometime this summer for Matt's next assignment with the Air Force, but didn't know where to or exactly when. We didn't anticipate finding out until the end of March, so I was extremely surprised and excited when I received a call today from Matt while he was at work, saying that he had received his assignment!
Drum roll, please! .....
We are moving to Wright-Patterson Air Force base near Dayton, Ohio! Matt is set to report no later than June 29th, which is also before we expected. This was Matt's number one choice on his wish-list of potential bases. We don't know the details of what Matt will be doing at this point, more to come on that as we find out. We are very excited at this next leg in our journey! Neither one of us has ever been to Ohio before, and we know 'the grass is always greener' but we are definitely looking forward to getting out of the big city that is Washington D.C. and hopefully heading towards a more family-oriented, laid back type of town.
I feel like there's so much to do now (as if I didn't feel that way before with a newborn, ha!) with doing research on the area and finding a place to live, etc. So happy to share this news with you all!
